Black peat is added to the filtration sector (chemical filtration) of the filters, and the carbonate hardness and pH fall. This effect significantly reduces the number of bacteria. Your fish's musk - the mucus layer that protects the fish from bacterial attacks, is significantly strengthened. In parallel with the reduction of carbonates, the function of the fish's gills and oxygen absorption will increase. This will reduce stress levels and you will begin to experience well-being and a brilliant color that is not seen in ordinary tap water! The bactericidal function helps prevent fungus on freshly laid eggs. The natural humic acids in Black Peat Pearls provide a slight black water effect. If you do not want this, it may be advisable to choose white peat pearls instead.
Usage tip: It is generally not possible to filter with too much and conversely, 1000 ml of Black Peat Pearls will not be enough for a 500 liter aquarium. As a starting point, the water values of your tap water will indicate the need and since it varies from region to region, the indication of the filter volume will depend on these factors. A guideline would be 4 liters of Black Peat Pearls for 500 liters of water.
